Getting Your Photo Posted

To improve your chances of getting your photo used, here are a few tips:

  1. Photos should be rather large, at least 500 pixels wide, but bigger is better.

  2. The tree should be the subject of the image, not the background. No humans should be in the photo. Nothing else should be obstructing the view of your tree.

  3. The tree should be shown in its full glory: green and healthy in the summer, for most trees. Full blossoms in spring or beautiful (and full) fall foliage can also be nice. Evergreen trees can look good any time of year, even with a light dusting of snow.

  4. The photo should not be blurry.

  5. Close-ups of tree attributes (bark, leaves, fruit, etc.) should bear in mind the same basic principles as above.
