Every Card from the Arbor Day Foundation Plants a Tree in a National Forest
Nebraska City, Neb. (July 2, 2007) – The National Arbor Day Foundation is offering shoppers this holiday season a chance to give a gift that will have a positive impact for generations to come.
The Arbor Day Foundation has launched its Give-A-Tree™ Card greeting card line that will help replant our National Forests. With the purchase of every card, a tree is planted in a National Forest that has been damaged by devastating forest fires, insects, and disease.
A Give-A-Tree Card is a unique way in which shoppers can remember someone special during the holiday season and help the environment by planting a tree.
Give-A-Tree Cards are $5.95 apiece, which includes the cost of planting and care for a tree, and come in 46 card designs in three styles. On the inside, each card is inscribed, “In your honor, a tree has been planted in a National Forest.” Each tree planted will give life back to the forest, provide food and habitat for wildlife, help clean the air, and protect water supplies.
Cards are available for birthdays, weddings, births, the holiday season, and Arbor Day, and also come in blank, all-occasion varieties.

The Arbor Day Foundation has worked with the U.S. Forest Service since 1990 on reforestation projects, planting more than 7 million trees in National Forests throughout America. The Forest Service has a backlog of more than 1.1 million acres identified as in need of replanting as a result of having to divert much of its budget to fighting back-to-back years of record wildfires.
Through its Give-A-Tree Card line, the Arbor Day Foundation offers shoppers a simple way to make a difference in our National Forests.
