Creating an outdoor classroom can be a big undertaking, but it will significantly improve the lives of all children who use the classroom. With this 2007 Sourcebook the Arbor Day Foundation and Dimension Educational Research Foundation have created a simple way to find resources that will allow you to create a great outdoor classroom. Since creating an outdoor classroom can be a large investment of time, energy, and financial resources, doing it right the first time is very important. With Nature Explore Classroom products, you can invest with confidence with our one-year warranty (Terms and Conditions). In addition, if for any reason you are not satisfied, simply return it within 30 days of purchase and we'll replace it or refund the cost, no questions asked.

All of the products in Nature Explore are based on field testing by the Dimensions Educational Research Foundation. Field testing occurs as groups of children and trained teachers interact with the materials and record observations over a period of time. Observations are collected and reviewed and patterns are noted. Information on safety, durability, educational value and children's interest are collected.

The Beauty of Nature

Our field-tested materials and components are made of natural materials. To be most effective in connecting children with nature and inspiring meaningful childhood development, the products are made preserving the character of wood. Grain, knots, and checking, a natural process that occurs as a wooden log releases moisture across the annual growth rings are all part of this character. Additionally, unfinished wood will naturally develop a beautiful slivery-gray patina over time. Observing the natural color change and aging of natural components is a valuable part of children's connection with nature.

Exact product dimensions and appearance will vary due to the uniqueness of nature. Occasionally, we will refine construction of some products to enhance their effectiveness. You will always receive the latest version.

Terms and Conditions

ONE (1) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

The Arbor Day Foundation and the Dimensions Educational Research Foundation (collectively, the “Foundations”) provide the following One (1) Year Limited Warranty on all Nature Explore™ Classroom Sourcebook items except for the aluminum greenhouses with product numbers 3924 and 3925 and the outdoor marimba with product number 3912. The Nature Explore™ Classroom Sourcebook items to which this One (1) Year Limited Warranty applies shall hereinafter be referred to as "Items."

  1. This Limited Warranty shall last for one (1) year from the date any Item is purchased from the Foundations.

  2. Except as provided below, the Items will conform in all material respects to the Nature Explore™ Classroom Sourcebook descriptions and will be free from manufacturing defects.

  3. This Limited Warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, vandalism, accidents, normal wear and tear, or acts of nature including but not limited to hail, flooding, lighting, tornadoes, sandstorms, earthquakes, windstorms, and hurricanes. Furthermore, this Limited Warranty does not cover cosmetic damage or defects including but not limited to surface scratches, minor abrasions, dents, marring, fading, discoloration, or normal wood checking and weathering.

  4. If an Item does not conform to this Limited Warranty, the Foundations will, at the Foundations' option, repair or replace the nonconforming aspect(s) of that Item. To obtain the applicable remedy (repair or replacement), you must follow the steps below:

    1. Notify the Foundations of the defect and its cause, if any, within one year of the date of purchase from the Foundations. Notice shall be sufficient if it is given by mail, phone, or fax.

  5. All implied warranties, including the implied warranty of merchantability and the implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, are only effective for one (1) year from the date an Item is purchased from the Foundations. Some States do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

  6. Foundations will neither pay nor take responsibility for incidental or consequential damages caused by defects in an Item. Some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

  7. This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.

TEN (10) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

The Arbor Day Foundation and the Dimensions Educational Research Foundation (collectively, the “Foundations”) provide the following Ten (10) Year Limited Warranty on the Aluminum Greenhouses with product numbers 3924 and 3925 in the Nature Explore™ Classroom Sourcebook (hereinafter referred to individually as a &lqduo;Greenhouse”).

  1. This Limited Warranty shall last for ten (10) years from the date a Greenhouse is purchased from the Foundations.

  2. Except as provided below, the Greenhouse will conform in all material respects to the Nature Explore™ Classroom Sourcebook descriptions and will be free from manufacturing defects.

  3. This Limited Warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, improper maintenance, vandalism, accidents, normal wear and tear, or acts of nature including but not limited to hail, flooding, lighting, tornadoes, sandstorms, earthquakes, windstorms, and hurricanes. Furthermore, this Limited Warranty does not cover cosmetic damage or defects including but not limited to surface scratches, minor abrasions, dents, marring, fading, or discoloration. This Limited Warranty does not apply if the Greenhouse is improperly anchored to the ground or is otherwise improperly installed.

  4. If a Greenhouse does not conform to this Limited Warranty, the Foundations will, at the Foundations' option, repair the nonconforming aspect(s) of that Greenhouse. To obtain the applicable remedy (repair or replacement) you must follow the steps below:

    1. Notify the Foundations of the defect and its cause, if any, within ten years of the date of purchase from the Foundations. Notice shall be sufficient if it is given by mail, phone, or fax.
