Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® (AKA) has a long history of serving others. Their over 120,000 active members give back through various initiatives, including enhancing our environment.
AKA is partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation to provide trees and planting education, as well as to measure the impact of these planting efforts. By setting an annual goal of planting 3,100 trees, AKA is working around the world through service projects led by chapters and Youth Leadership institute participants.
In 2023, AKA’s significant efforts exceeded this annual goal, with 197 chapters ordering trees and dedicating thousands of service hours to their planting and care.
