Arbor Day Foundation Announces Dan Lambe As New President

NEBRASKA CITY, NEB. (July 16, 2014) – The Arbor Day Foundation announced Dan Lambe as the new president of the Foundation, effective today. Lambe has been with the Foundation for nearly a decade, serving as vice president of programs and partnerships.

Matt Harris, Arbor Day Foundation chief executive, remarked in announcing Lambe's promotion to president, "Dan has demonstrated outstanding leadership for the Foundation during the past decade. His dedication to the Foundation's mission and his passion for building enduring relationships with many important partners are core to our work and proven and respected." Harris continued by noting, "The Arbor Day Foundation places the utmost importance on partnerships, pivotal in carrying out our mission. We are confident that these partnerships will continue to thrive with his leadership and commitment."

The Arbor Day Foundation is in its fifth decade of creating and building large-scale, sustained programs and partnerships -- many of which having been successfully nurtured under Lambe's direction during the past decade -- to further its mission of inspiring people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees. Working closely with federal and state government agencies, municipalities, environmental and nonprofit organizations, and more than 120 corporations, the Arbor Day Foundation brings organizations together to help solve global issues through forestry and planting trees.
