NATIONAL ARBOR DAY FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES ANNUAL AWARDS
Nebraska City, Neb.--Corporate Express, Inc. and The National Arbor Day Foundation have collaborated in a recycling and tree planting effort that is yielding big results--more than 52,000 boxes recycled last year and 650 young trees to be planted this fall.
Launched in the summer of 1997, the agreement calls for Corporate Express to contribute one dollar to the Arbor Day Foundation for every 100 boxes re-used through the recycling program. For every dollar donated, the Arbor Day Foundation will ship one young tree to a school in the community of each participating company.
Corporate Express is a leading supplier of office products and services to large corporations. Clients participating in the recycling program include national hotel chains, airplane and automobile manufacturers, airlines, and leading medical and financial institutions.
"It's exciting to work with a company that shows its commitment to the environment and to tree planting to the extent Corporate Express does," said Arbor Day Foundation President John Rosenow. "We're grateful for their vision and support."
The Arbor Day Foundation is a nonprofit education organization dedicated to tree planting and environmental stewardship. Corporate Express, Inc., based in Broomfield, Colorado, operates throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, and Europe.
