A Fresh Taste of Fall at Annual AppleJack Festival

Apples get even more delicious this year at the annual AppleJack Festival in Nebraska City.

LINCOLN, Nebraska (September 10, 2024) – Apples get even more delicious this year at the annual AppleJack Festival in Nebraska City. In addition to the traditional offerings of apple pies, slushies and donuts, guests will also be able to enjoy a new canned sparkling apple cider and a limited-edition ice cream.

The ice cream flavor, ‘Nebraska to the Core’, was developed in collaboration with 402 Creamery. Made with Arbor Day Farm’s homemade apple cider, the vanilla bean ice cream also features apple swirls and toasted oat streusel. The flavor was first offered at 402 Creamery locations in July, and all three locations sold out in a day.

“Part of what makes the AppleJack Festival so special is how it gives people the opportunity to fully experience the joy of harvest season. With these new options, we’re blending tradition with innovation and giving guests a fresh taste of fall,” said Brandon Schuster, Vice President of Arbor Day Farm.

AppleJack Festival at Arbor Day Farm takes place over two weekends, Sept. 21-22 and Sept. 28-29. Guests can pick their own apples from the Arbor Day Farm Apple Orchard, catch live music, sample wine and hard cider and experience Living History at Arbor Lodge Mansion. Kids can weave their way through the newly completed climbing cube at Tree Adventure and explore Treetop Village.

Arbor Day Farm will also host ‘Love, the Locals’ Makers Market during the festival’s opening weekend. On each day, the market’s first 25 visitors will receive a ‘swag bag.’
