Registration Opens for Trees & Utilities 2021 Conference
Conference hosted by the Utility Arborist Association and the Arbor Day Foundation for utility vegetation managers and associated urban forestry professionals set for October
LINCOLN, Nebraska (August 26, 2021) – Registration is now open for the annual Trees & Utilities conference, which brings together utility vegetation managers and urban forestry professionals from around the country for a week of networking, knowledge sharing and educational learning opportunities.
Hosted in tandem by the Utility Arborist Association and the Arbor Day Foundation, the three-day conference will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota from October 26 to 28 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Registration is open now through October 28.
The Utility Arborist Association is partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation for the Trees & Utilities Conference to provide an opportunity for learning and engagement for utility vegetation managers and associated urban forestry professionals. Throughout the conference, attendees can discover new ways to help grow and maintain community trees while providing safe, reliable utility services. In addition, utility professionals will meet new colleagues for this unique event to help discover and share new ideas, practices, and partnerships.
"Communities need trees not only to create more green spaces where people and families can gather outside but also for benefits like cleaner water, cleaner air, and cooling effects provided by tree shade," said Dan Lambe, president of the Arbor Day Foundation. "But none of those benefits can be enjoyed unless the professionals are able to manage and maintain urban trees around infrastructure like utility lines. The Trees & Utilities Conference is simply another great way to learn about how effortlessly service providers and trees can co-exist for the benefit of communities and residents from those who do it best in the industry."
There will be many speakers from within the industry and several chances to network with new colleagues in the business. A trade show with more than 60 vendors exhibiting is also planned. Service providers can benefit from the conference in many ways including a lineup of industry speakers, professional development opportunities, networking, and continuing education.
"The Trees and Utilities Conference is an incredible opportunity to bring together a network of dedicated utility vegetation managers and urban forestry professionals," said Dennis Fallon, Executive Director of Utility Arborist Association. "We strive to be the leading organization in this industry because of our excellence and innovation in utility vegetation management. We are thrilled to be partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation to hold this conference for like-minded professionals."
