Top Entry in the Arbor Day Foundation Video Challenge Will Receive Free Trees for Its College Campus or Community

Nebraska City, Neb. (March 10, 2010) – Creative individuals can join the arbordaynow.org Video Challenge to make a difference on the planet and earn free trees for their college campus or community just by making a video that inspires people to plant trees.

The winning videographer will win $2,500 worth of trees for their campus or community, and will have its entry featured on www.arbordaynow.org, a new Web site from the nonprofit Arbor Day Foundation that helps college-aged individuals get involved with tree-planting and conservation initiatives.

Entrants are encouraged to use their creativity and passion to put together a video that educates, inspires and encourages people to go outside and plant trees. Each video must be between 60 and 90 seconds in length.

The contest is open until April 9. Online voting for the top videos will be held April 19-23, and the winner will be announced on April 26.

The top three videos will be featured on the new Web site and on the Foundation's main Web site, arborday.org, during the week of Arbor Day (National Arbor Day is on April 30).
