TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX RECEIVES ARBOR DAY FOUNDATION PROMISE TO THE EARTH AWARD

Nebraska City, Neb., April 12, 1999--The makers and distributors of the animated film FernGully 2 will receive a 1999 Promise to the Earth Award from The National Arbor Day Foundation. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, Beverly Hills, California, is being recognized for its commitment to preserving irreplaceable rain forest land through the Foundation's Rain Forest Rescue program.

The award will be presented at the Arbor Day Foundation's 27th annual Arbor Day Awards, to be held in Nebraska City, Neb., on Saturday, May 1. The Promise to the Earth Award recognizes sustained corporate commitment and national leadership by those who join with The National Arbor Day Foundation on special projects in education and in the planting of trees.

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment donated animated footage from the successful movie for the Foundation's use in its public service campaign. The company is also contributing a portion of each sale of the video to help preserve rain forest land in Central and South America.

Also winning 1999 Promise to the Earth Awards are Health Communications, Inc. of Deerfield Beach, Florida, publishers of the best-selling Chicken Soup for the Soul series, honored for helping the Arbor Day Foundation replant Florida forests destroyed by fires in the summer of 1998; and Triangle Pacific Flooring Group, Addison, Texas, recognized for helping plant hardwood trees in our nation's forests.

The National Arbor Day Foundation is a nonprofit education organization that helps people plant and care for trees.
