Students and staff at Georgia State University planted trees from the Arbor Day Foundation and Toyota this morning, in celebration of the campus commitment to caring for and maintaining its urban forest. Georgia State University, a research university located in downtown Atlanta, is working toward Tree Campus USA recognition.

Safety and property remain the priority for those affected by Hurricane Sandy. As communities move from emergency response to long-term recovery, the 3,000-tree program gives Atlantic City Electric customers a chance to plant new trees and replace those that were lost or broken. The program launched October 9 and will run through November 21.
