The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's (FWS) National Conservation Training Center (NCTC), a hub for conservation education and training in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, recently opened a certified Nature Explore classroom with recognition from the Arbor Day Foundation and Dimensions Educational Research Foundation.

Discovery Child Care Centre of Barrie, Ontario, is Canada's first Nature Explore Classroom after receiving the designation from the Arbor Day Foundation and Dimensions Educational Research Foundation. Discovery Child Care Centre will join a growing network of organizations and institutions in developing research-based outdoor learning opportunities for children.

Six winning nature-inspired art installations will be unveiled Saturday, June 9 at the grand opening for this year's Art in the Woods exhibit at Arbor Day Farm. The exhibit at the Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure launches with a formal unveiling at 10am and will remain open during regular hours through the fall.

The executive chef for Lied Lodge & Conference Center at Arbor Day Farm is participating in a team with two designers this Sunday during "Elevate," an Omaha event in celebration of food, transportation and design. The title of the team's contribution, "To Grow," will feature dishes titled "Sunny Side Ham," "Prairie Fire" and "Chicken or the Egg," as well as edible soil.
