Arbor Day Foundation, U.S. Forest Service to Plant 1 Million Trees with Gift from Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation

For the seventh consecutive year, the Arbor Day Foundation and the United States Forest Service will use funding from the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation to plant 1 million trees throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as part of the Enterprise 50 Million Tree Pledge.

Students and staff at Texas Southern University planted 50 trees from the Arbor Day Foundation this morning, in celebration of the university's commitment to improving tree care and sustainability and for working toward Tree Campus USA status.

Sixteen Individuals and Organizations Receive National Award From the Arbor Day Foundation

Sixteen individuals and organizations will receive a 2012 Arbor Day Award in honor of their outstanding contribution to tree planting, conservation and stewardship, the Arbor Day Foundation announced today. This year's ceremony will be held at Lied Lodge & Conference Center, located at Arbor Day Farm in Nebraska City, Nebraska, on Saturday, April 28.
