Bota Box Teams up with Arbor Day Foundation To Plant Trees in U.S. Forests

Nebraska City, Neb. (April 18, 2011) – Bota Box, the original environmentally friendly box wine, will team up with the Arbor Day Foundation for the third consecutive year to help plant trees in U.S. forests that are in desperate need of replanting. In celebration of Earth Day, Bota Box will donate a portion of its April sales proceeds to the Arbor Day Foundation with the goal of planting at least 20,000 trees.

Consumers can get involved by donating up to $12 of their Bota Box rebate to the Foundation. In addition, Bota Box will donate $1.00 to the Arbor Day Foundation for each new Facebook user who likes Bota Box during the month of April.

"We are honored to partner with the Arbor Day Foundation, a respected and accomplished nonprofit organization dedicated to the vital cause of reforestation", said John Garaventa, Senior Marketing Manager for Bota Box. "We take great care in packaging our wines using environmentally friendly, 100 percent recyclable materials to protect the nation's forests. We are so proud that over the past three years, in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, we have helped to plant over 35,000 trees."

The Arbor Day Foundation is the nation's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to planting trees and reforestation with more than 1 million members nationwide. The Foundation works with the U.S. Forest Service and the National Association of State Foresters on reforestation projects. The Arbor Day Foundation also supports individual tree planting efforts. As such, the Foundation and Bota Box will provide 12,000 free Gift Trees at select Bota Box retail stores to people to plant at home.
