The 2025 U.S. Reforestation Capacity Survey provides a comprehensive snapshot of the national reforestation system. While stakeholders across the United States have long recognized reforestation’s value as a nature-based climate solution, the current system reforestation – including land, programs and partners – is in need of improved coordination, enhanced capacity and financial support. The survey identifies these critical challenges and offers recommendations to support a more effective and sustainable reforestation network.
