5 Ways Recycled Christmas Trees Can Live On After the Holidays
LINCOLN, Nebraska (January 6, 2022) – Arbor Day Foundation, the largest 501(c)3 nonprofit membership organization dedicated to planting trees, today announced a partnership with Klean Kanteen, a family- and employee-owned B-Corporation, Certified Climate Neutral company, and 1% for the Planet member.
“In many ways, Klean Kanteen represents a quintessential partner for the Arbor Day Foundation,” said Dan Lambe, president of the Arbor Day Foundation. “Klean Kanteen’s decades-long commitment to the environment shows up in everything the brand does, and we are incredibly excited to band together for the greater good of our planet.”
The two Abor Day Foundation Klean Kanteen bottles will tout a Mother Earth approved tree design. For each bottle purchased, the Arbor Day Foundation and Klean Kanteen will plant one tree in the United States. The collaboration bottles will be made with certified 90% post-consumer recycled 18/8 stainless steel, a first-to-market material switch Klean Kanteen announced earlier this year. Custom Arbor Day Foundation Klean Kanteen bottles will be available exclusively online at arborday.org, starting in 2022.
“At Klean Kanteen, we’re always looking to partner with organizations that share the same ethos, and it’s obvious the Arbor Day Foundation operates with integrity to support forest conservation and community—something near and dear to our hearts,” said Jeff Cresswell, co-owner and co-CEO of Klean Kanteen. “We are proud to kick off this partnership with two custom bottles and are looking forward to seeing how we can continue to make a positive environmental impact together.”
While the Arbor Day Foundation and Klean Kanteen partnership will launch with this product collaboration, the brands will continue to identify ways to work together through various carbon offsetting initiatives in 2022.
